Animaker

Failed generations are refunded automatically

Animaker returns the credit automatically when a video generation fails — you are not charged for a failed attempt, and getting the credit back requires no support request.

The specifics

When it applies
Any generation that ends in a failed state — including provider errors, timeouts, and rejections caused by the uploaded files.
What you get back
The full credit that was deducted when the generation started — one video costs one credit.
What you have to do
Nothing. The refund is automatic; there is no form, no email, and no waiting period.
Where you can see it
The task page shows the failed status, and the credit balance shown on the same page already includes the returned credit.

Why failed generations are not charged

Video generation is not deterministic. The same photo and the same reference clip can succeed on one attempt and be rejected on the next, and some failures happen on the provider side long after the upload has been accepted. Charging for those attempts would make the per-video price unpredictable, which defeats the point of paying per video instead of subscribing.

So the credit is tied to the outcome, not the attempt: it is deducted when a generation starts, and released back to the account when the generation ends in a failed state. A task that never produces a video never costs a credit.

This is separate from the account-level refund policy for purchases. If you bought a credit pack and want the purchase refunded rather than an individual generation re-credited, that is an order-level request and is handled through support.

FAQ

Do I lose a credit if my video fails?

No. The credit deducted at the start of the generation is returned automatically when the task ends in a failed state.

Do I need to contact support to get a failed generation refunded?

No. The refund is automatic. Support is only needed if you want a whole purchase refunded rather than a single generation re-credited.

What counts as a failed generation?

Any task that ends in a failed state instead of producing a downloadable video — provider errors, timeouts, and rejections caused by the uploaded photo or reference clip.

Does this apply to videos made with the free credits?

Yes. The rule is about the generation, not how the credit was obtained — a failed generation using a free credit returns that free credit.

How long does the refund take?

The credit is released as part of the same task update that marks the generation as failed, so it is visible on the task page as soon as the failure is recorded.
