Acceptable Use Policy

Overview

This Acceptable Use Policy explains what you may and may not do with animaker. It applies to every photo, video, and other material you upload, and to every video you generate. It forms part of our Terms of Service, and using animaker means you agree to it.

We take this policy seriously. It exists to keep the service usable, to keep our users safe, and to keep animaker available to everyone who follows the rules.

What animaker is

animaker generates a short motion video from a photo and a reference video that you supply. We do not build the underlying media models ourselves — we provide an interface to third-party AI models, and every generation is also subject to that provider's own screening.

Prohibited content

You must not use animaker to create, upload, or attempt to create any of the following.

Sexual and adult content

• Nudity, sexually explicit material, or content that is sexually suggestive or intended for sexual gratification
• Any sexualized content involving minors, or any content that depicts, implies, or is designed to suggest a minor in a sexual context
• Sexual content involving non-consensual acts, coercion, or exploitation

People and likenesses

• Using a photo of another person without their permission
• Sexual or intimate imagery of any identifiable person, real or fictional
• Content that impersonates a real person or organization in a misleading way, including public figures
• Content intended to deceive, defraud, harass, or intimidate anyone

Harmful and illegal content

• Content that promotes violence, terrorism, self-harm, or hatred against any group or individual
• Content that depicts or facilitates illegal activity
• Content that infringes copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights
• Malware, spam, phishing, or any attempt to defraud

Prohibited behaviour

You must not:

• Bypass, disable, or attempt to bypass any safety, moderation, rate, payment, or access control
• Create multiple accounts or use trials to evade limits
• Resell, sublicense, or present animaker's generation capability as your own service without written permission
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or overload the service
• Use automation to generate content at scale for the purpose of evading review

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for everything you upload and generate. In particular:

• You must own the rights to the photos and videos you upload, or have permission to use them.
• If another person is identifiable in your photo, you must have their consent to use it.
• You must comply with the laws that apply to you, including any rules on synthetic or AI-generated media and how it must be labelled.

How we enforce this policy

We may review, block, or remove content, and suspend or terminate accounts, when we believe this policy has been violated. Where a violation involves illegal content, we may report it to the relevant authorities.

Generation also runs on a third-party platform that applies its own content review. Content that violates the rules is rejected there before any video is produced, and that review is not under our control.

We do not pre-screen every upload. Enforcement is triggered by reports, automated signals, and our own review.

Reporting a violation

If you believe content on or produced by animaker violates this policy, including your own rights, email us at support@animaker.dev with the details. We treat these reports seriously and act on them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. Updated versions will be posted on this page with a revised date.
