What Animaker collects, why, how long it keeps it, and how to get it deleted
Last updated: 2026-10-23
Summary
Animaker turns a portrait photo and a short reference video into a new short video. To do that we have to handle the files you upload, the account you sign in with, and the records needed to charge credits and keep the service running.
This policy explains exactly what we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it, who we share it with, and how you can get it deleted. The short version:
- We collect account details, the photo and video you upload, the video we generate, usage data, and payment records.
- We use them to run the service. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use your photos or videos to train AI models.
- You can ask us to export or delete your data at any time by emailing support@animaker.dev.
Who we are
Animaker ("we", "us", "our") operates https://animaker.dev. For any privacy question or request, contact support@animaker.dev — the same address shown on our Google sign-in consent screen.
Information we collect
Account and sign-in data
- Email address, display name, and preferred interface language.
- The sign-in method you use, and the identifier your identity provider returns for you.
- If you sign in with Google (Google Sign-In or Google One Tap): your Google account identifier, email address, name, and profile picture URL.
- If you sign in with email and password: a one-way cryptographic hash of your password. We never store the password itself.
- Account creation time, last sign-in time, and account status.
Content you upload
- The portrait photo and the reference video you select for a generation.
- Any file you attach to a support ticket.
- Technical metadata about those files: file name, size, MIME type, duration, and upload time.
Content we generate
- The rendered video, its storage location, and its task record: generation mode, aspect ratio, resolution, duration, status, and failure reason.
- Share links you create, and whether a link was opened.
Usage and device data
- Pages and features you use, generation history, credit balance, credit grant/consume/refund records, and error events.
- IP address, browser, device type, operating system, language, referring page, and approximate location derived from IP.
- Cookies and similar identifiers used for sign-in sessions, language and theme preferences, and aggregate product analytics.
Payment data
- Order number, product, amount, currency, payment status, and refund records.
- Your billing country, and the last four digits of the card when the payment provider passes them back.
- Full card numbers are collected and stored by the payment provider, never by Animaker.
Support and communications
- The subject and body of tickets, emails, and in-product messages, plus any attachment.
How we use information
We use the information above to:
- create your account, sign you in, and keep your session secure;
- store your uploads, run the generation task, and deliver the result;
- track credits, orders, refunds, and billing records;
- send transaction messages: sign-in links, receipts, failed-task notices, and security alerts;
- provide support and answer your requests;
- detect abuse, fraud, and policy violations, including attempts to generate prohibited content;
- measure aggregate usage so we can fix what is broken and improve the product;
- meet legal, tax, accounting, and regulatory obligations.
We do not use your uploaded photos or generated videos to train AI models. We do not sell or rent personal information.
Google user data
Animaker offers "Continue with Google" and Google One Tap. When you choose one of them, Google shares the following with us, and only after you consent on Google's own screen:
- your name and email address;
- your Google profile picture URL;
- your Google account identifier (the
subclaim).
We request only the openid, email, and profile scopes. We do not request access to Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, YouTube, Contacts, or any other Google product, and we do not receive data from them.
We use Google user data only to:
- create and authenticate your Animaker account;
- show your name and avatar inside the product;
- send you service messages about your account.
We do not sell Google user data. We do not use it for advertising, profiling, or credit assessment. We do not use it to train or fine-tune AI models. We do not let humans read it except when you ask us to, when it is necessary to investigate security or abuse, or when the law requires it.
Limited Use
Animaker's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We transfer Google user data to another party only when it is necessary to provide or improve the service, to comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets — never for advertising.
Revoking access and deleting Google data
You can revoke Animaker's access to your Google account at any time at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions. Revoking access stops future sign-ins but does not delete your Animaker account by itself.
To delete your Animaker account and the Google identifier we stored, email support@animaker.dev from the address on the account. We complete account deletions within 30 days.
Cookies and analytics
We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your language and theme. We also use Google Analytics 4 to measure aggregate traffic and conversion. Google Analytics derives an approximate location from your IP address and then discards the IP; it receives page-level events, not your uploaded files, your email address, or your Google account identifier.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser. Blocking the session cookie signs you out. Blocking analytics cookies does not affect generation.
Who we share information with
We do not sell personal information. We share it only with the service providers needed to run Animaker, and only the part each one needs:
- Hosting and content delivery (Cloudflare) — serves the site and keeps request logs.
- Database and object storage — holds accounts, tasks, and media files.
- AI model providers — receive the photo, the reference video, and the generation parameters for the task you start, and return the rendered video.
- Payment provider (Creem, merchant of record) — receives order and billing details.
- Email delivery (Resend) — receives your email address and the content of the message.
- Analytics (Google Analytics 4) — receives page events and an approximate location.
- Professional advisers, authorities, and courts — when the law requires it, or to establish or defend legal claims.
If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your data becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
International transfers
Animaker and its providers process data in the United States, the European Union, and the Asia-Pacific region. Where data leaves your region, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.
How long we keep information
- Account, profile, and settings — while the account is active, then 30 days after deletion; residual backups expire within 35 days.
- Uploaded photos, reference videos, and generated videos — until you or your account is deleted, then removed within 30 days.
- Task records and credit transactions — 24 months, for support and dispute handling.
- Orders, invoices, and refund records — 7 years, as tax and accounting law requires.
- Server and security logs — 90 days.
- Support tickets — 24 months after the last reply.
- Analytics — 14 months.
We may keep information longer when a legal obligation, an open dispute, or a fraud investigation requires it.
Security
We use TLS for all traffic, rely on storage-layer encryption at rest, restrict production access to the people who need it, keep credentials in a managed secret store, and log administrative actions.
No online service can guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a breach affecting your data, we will notify you and the relevant authority as required by law.
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, export, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal information, and to withdraw consent you previously gave.
To exercise any of these rights, email support@animaker.dev from the address on your account. We respond within 30 days, and we may ask you to confirm control of the account first.
You can also:
- change your name and avatar in Settings → Profile;
- revoke Google access at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions;
- lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Children
Animaker is not intended for children. You must be at least 16 years old, or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, to create an account. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
AI-generated content and acceptable use
Animaker generates synthetic video. You must own the photo you upload or have permission to use it, and if another person is identifiable you need their consent.
Sexual, nude, or intimate imagery is prohibited, including non-consensual intimate imagery (NCII) of a real person. The full rules, and how we enforce them, are in our Acceptable Use Policy. We may review, block, or remove content, and suspend accounts, when those rules are broken.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service changes. The revised version is posted on this page with a new date. If a change materially affects how we use Google user data or your uploaded content, we will notify you by email or in the product before it takes effect.
